Are you afraid of walking this path with me?
Hand in hand we walk so carelessly
Our eyes are drawn to what we see ahead
In the past we leave lies and regret.
Being lost was like a plague to me
It enveloped and devoured me
I've found my way through you and now I'm free
Without you my life would cease to be

Was there ever any doubt
residing in your mind?
You said you could find tomorrow
by looking in my eyes.
But when tomorrow comes too soon...
You're not ready to resign
from the world you've always known...
from the world you left behind.

Every footprint seems to tell a tale
Stories of emptiness, and of betrayal
Patterns of partners slowly drifting away
Each set of footprints grows farther and farther away
We only wonder why they separate
Attraction turns to disgust, love molds into hate
What are the reasons that feed this disease
How can true love dissipate so easily

Was there ever any doubt
residing in your mind?
You said you could find tomorrow
by looking in my eyes.
But when tomorrow comes too soon...
You're not ready to resign
from the world you've always known...
from the world you left behind.

I hope to whatever Creator created us two
that you do not lose the love for me that I hold for you.
When love around us crumbles, relationships tumble so quickly...
I can only cling to you and pray that not to be.

Was there ever any doubt
residing in your mind?
You said you could find tomorrow
by looking in my eyes.
But when tomorrow comes too soon...
You're not ready to resign
from the world you've always known...
from the world you left behind.

Was there ever any doubt
residing in your mind?
You said you could find tomorrow
by looking in my eyes.

_______________________________________________
(C) 2003 Emily Rose Morris
Koneko Productions
